$2x -10 = x(x-5) \\ -x^2+7x-10 =0 \\ x= \frac{-7 \pm \sqrt{49- 4 \cdot(-1) \cdot (-10)}}{-2} \\x= \frac{-7\pm 3}{-2} \\ x= 2 \vee x = 5$

b)

$lg(\frac x2) + 3 =5 \\ lg( \frac x2) = 2 \\10^{lg( \frac x2)} = 10^2 \\ \frac x2 = 100 \\ x= 200 $
